Our Shilajit is hand-collected by natives who have passed down the knowledge of identifying gold-grade Shilajit for generations. These stewards of the land revere their mountains, ensuring sustainable practices that reflect their deep connection with place they call home.
Packed with essential minerals and antioxidants, Shilajit offers myriad of health benefits. Trusted for centuries, it’s a natural way to restore balance and resilience in daily life.
We prioritize quality and safety above everything else. While others may take shortcuts, we deliver the real deal.
Our Shilajit then travels to Utah, where it is batched and packed in a cGMP certified facility.

WHAT IS SHILAJIT RESIN?
Shilajit formed as a result of slow decomposition and fermentation of plant matter that was trapped within the rocks of the Himalayas when Indian plate and Eurasian plate collided some 50 million years ago. During summer months, the resin becomes thinner and seeps out of the cracks and crevices of the rocks. To learn more about history of Shilajit, click here.
IS SHILAJIT VEGAN?
Yes, The Whole Reason™ Shilajit is vegan.
IS YOUR SHILAJIT ORGANIC?
Shilajit is a naturally occurring plant fossil that is trapped inside the rocks and took millions of years to produce under pristine conditions. As Shilajit is not an agricultural product and can not be "grown" under controlled environment, it may not be certified as organic unless it is processed to alter its chemical composition.
HOW LONG WILL ONE 15G JAR LAST?
Our 15g jar typically lasts from 1 to 3 months depending on frequency of usage. One jar contains 75 servings of Shilajit assuming 200mg of single serving.
CAN I TEST AUTHENTICITY OF SHILAJIT AT HOME?
Shilajit is among the very few substances that can be tested for authenticity at home. Thanks to its distinct characteristics and well-known reactions to external stimuli, distinguishing genuine Shilajit from the rest is easy. Visit our blog for ways to test Shilajit at home.
WHAT IS FULVIC ACID PERCENTAGE IN YOUR SHILAJIT?
Fulvic acid tests are not established and there doesn't exist a standard for correctly measuring fulvic acid percentage due to its unknown molecular weight and the fact that it is impossible to separate fulvic acid molecules from other components present in Shilajit. Without separating fulvic acid molecules, it is not possible to measure accurate percentage amount.
If Fulvic acid test is performed regardless, the result may vary from sample to sample as Shilajit is a natural substance and does not maintain same consistency and uniformity as a laboratory-made product.
Some companies selling Shilajit advertise a specific percentage of Fulvic acid in their product. This is often the highest number obtained out of series of tests on different samples. And more often than not, fulvic acid is added to Shilajit for obtaining a specific percentage value.
We do not test or claim fulvic acid content in our Shilajit to mislead consumers about the quality of Shilajit based on claimed fulvic acid percentage.
WHAT SHOULD I LOOK FOR WHEN BUYING SHILAJIT?
Visit our blog for in-depth considerations when buying Shilajit.
IS HIGHER DOSE OF SHILAJIT BETTER?
Some brands advertise that the amount of Shilajit per serving is higher in their product. This isn't necessarily better. It could mean that Shilajit is of low grade and requires one to consume larger dosage for desired effects. If Shilajit is of high grade, you may need to consume as little as 100-200mg dosage.
WHY IS THE WHOLE REASON™ SHILAJIT BETTER THAN OTHER BRANDS?
The Whole Reason™ Shilajit is collected from high altitudes in the Himalayas and it stands up to the authenticity tests that you can perform at home. These tests have been used for centuries to assess quality of Shilajit resin. A low-grade Shilajit would not pass one or more of these tests.
THE LID IS STUCK TO THE JAR AND I CANNOT OPEN IT. WHAT SHOULD I DO?
It is natural for genuine Shilajit to become hard when exposed to colder temperatures below 80°F. Place it in a warmer area of the home and let it soften. If lid is stuck to the jar, place it under warm running water for few minutes.
MY SHILAJIT BECAME DRY INSIDE THE JAR. WHAT SHOULD I DO?
Shilajit can become hard like rock when it loses moisture. This can happen over a long period of time if lid is not tightly closed. Simply add few drops of warm purified water and let it sit for a few hours. Water will dissolve seamlessly, providing moisture and thinner consistency to the resin.
